Healing according to Wikipedia, ” Healing (literally meaning to make whole) is the process of the restoration of health to an unbalanced, diseased or damaged organism. Healing may be physical or physiological and not without the mutual reception of these two dimensions of human health. With respect to physical damage or disease suffered by an organism, healing involves the repair of living tissue, organs and system as a whole and resumption of normal functioning. It is the process by which the cells in the body regenerate and repair to reduce the size of a damaged or necrotic area and replace it with new living tissue. The replacement can happen in two ways: by regeneration in which the necrotic cells are replaced by new cells that form similar tissue as was originally there; or by repair in which injured tissue is replaced with scar tissue.”

May it be physical healing or spiritual healing, both can relieve the mind and body.
Many times in our lives, people and/or one particular person hurt us. People inflicted pain to us which we thought will never heal or will never be forgotten and forgiven. We suffered, felt degraded, humiliated, condemned and all the melancholy feeling you can ever have. Some takes days, weeks, months, years or never to recover. We keep in our hearts the agony that only us recognize.
People left us for no reason, for a simple reason and most of the time we were clueless of their reasons why they disappeared. People treated us the opposite way we wished to. Many questions left unanswered. Why do they have to hurt us? Why can’t they stay and just be happy with you? Why it has to be you? What have I done wrong? When will this end?
The situation is comparable to this song by the famous band from the 60’s; The Beatles says,

One fine day arrived. One good thing or best thing happened. Or someone came in to your life and wiped away all the tears, the pain and the madness, everything disappeared. It could also be a life changing event, incident or accident that occurred. Everything vanished as if the pain never existed. You feel the lightness in your heart. It feels you are a different person now, renewed. Everything is considered as a PAST now. You feel you are ready to face all the hurt and the people who caused you pain. Healing it is.
Then you finally sense the freedom. How victorious it is. I will quote another song, this time by Deniece Williams,

Your love just keeps on healing me. I felt like a withered flower; dried and unhealthy. Scars will remain while Healing takes time. I am ready. I will always face the world with a smile. I have gathered my strength and picked up the pieces of the broken me. Eventually, I will be whole again. I can finally leave the past behind, forgive, forget and move on with faith that the Lord will never forsaken nor leave me. I am like a fresh flower who just bloomed; full of color and life. Just in time, ready to love and trust again.
